i am a faraway fan.. my english is bad....haha;) take care of me...-_- recently, judy collins came to my country. yeh, everybody will know her song 'both sides now' was from joni's original song. the song was very hit!! much more than joni.(i'm sorry to say thatt..but it's undoubtedly true..) she interviewed with the paper. whatever she says i don't care and i don't know much about her.in fact, i'm young enough to listen both ladies song. but this saying makes me a little angry. she said that joni was made to a singer because of the song's hit. unknown or known singer isn't important. i think.. joni was a singer before that.

Wow, I just listened to DJRD for the first time in years. Such lyrical and musical brilliance. It's what has brought most of us to Joni in the first place. She is timeless -- this song could have easily been written today. As always, she reflects the personal, the metaphysical, and the universal. I can understand why some feel let down on her work afterwards, but Joni established a high that maybe she herself could not surpass. My only regret is that her music started to be less popularly accepted around this time (DJRD). Well, it's still there to be rediscovered. Joni's always been way ahead of her time. Give another listen -- "Don Juan's" gorgeous and mesmerizing and utterly original. The perfect "twin" to "Coyote". Thank you, Joni.

I cannot find too much information on this recent bootleg I found in a copy of looking back by zimmerman (Bob Dylan) It is Joni Mitchell & James Taylor Live at the Royal Albert Hall 1970. The album is actually from a recording at the BBC by the two. If anyone is interested I am willing to trade this 2 vinyl set for almost any Dylan or Pink Floyd boots. I have not read the forum rules and if trying to trade albums is against the rules I apologize but since I am not a huge fan on James Taylor, and since you are all very dedicated JM fans I would like to offer this Vg++ to Near Mint bootleg set to any fellow vinyl bootleg collector- it is in the Cover for the Bob Dylan boot Zimmerman "Looking Back" but the vinyl plays beautifully. Please email me at sean_ryan_666@hotmail.com or on this thread if interested!

Lately everything is coming up Joni and just in time for my 60th birthday, I' love the new Joni material. I've been listening to her for 40 years. Her message is beautiful although not always pleasant. She's help me to stay young enough to think for myself all these years. If Joni didn't exist I'd have to invent her. Thanks girl!

Letters to Joni...  [no responses]

It may sound foolish to all of you Joni Mitchell listeners/fans but I have been wondering if there is an - official - address where one can send mail to her. Any fan club? I am 100% aware of the fact that she may never open my letter if it ever gets somewhere near her, but I have been thinking it is worth trying. Thanks! Laurent
