Oakland Tribune
February 3, 1969

Joni Mitchell will be featured in the second concert of the Superb Folk Series on Feb. 14. The performance will mark the Canadian singer-songwriter's first Bay Area appearance. The program will be held in Zellerbach Auditorium at U.C. and will begin at 8:30 p.m.

Miss Mitchell is highly regarded in folk music circles, both as a singer and a brilliant lyricist. One of her songs, "Both Sides Now," was recorded by Judy Collins and became the No. 1 song in the Nation. Other Joni Mitchell compositions include "The Circle Game," "Michael from Mountains," "Chelsea Morning" and "Song to a Seagull." A local folk group will be added to the bill.
