Morrison May Join Dylan / Mitchell Tour

In a move that would certainly cap a bizarre episode in the struggle to mount a co-headline Bob Dylan arena tour of the West Coast, it's been reported that Van Morrison may again take part in the dates, swelling the bill, which already includes Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell, to three folk-rock legends. According to a Sunday report in the Vancouver Sun, Morrison is said to have changed his mind yet again and re-joined the tour, and that plans were underway to add a Vancouver date to the existing six-date stretch.

Vancouver was originally booked for a May 14th date at General Motors Place when the lineup was originally announced as Dylan / Morrison. Almost immediately, Morrison pulled out and rather than wait out the scramble for a suitable replacement, Universal Concerts in Canada shut down the date. Calls placed to Morrison reps and tour organizers were not returned by press time. Live! Daily will report developments as they occur and list full ticket information for the tour in Friday's Weekend Report.
