Woke Up - It Was a Hall Of Fame Morning

NEW YORK (AP) Woke up, it was a Hall of Fame morning -- for Joni Mitchell and four others elected Thursday to the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

The folk singer and famed record producer Phil Spector will be joined by Harlan Howard, Ernesto Lecuona and Jimmy Kennedy at the 28th annual induction ceremonies June 10, the National Academy of Popular Music announced.

Ms. Mitchell is best known for writing "Chelsea Morning," "Both Sides Now" and "Woodstock."

Spector's writing credits include "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling," "Chapel of Love" and "River Deep-Mountain High."

Howard is best known for "I Fall to Pieces," "I've Got a Tiger by the Tail" and "Heartaches by the Number." Lecuona wrote "Malaguena," "Sibony" and "The Breeze and I."

Kennedy wrote "Harbor Lights," "The Isle of Capri" and "My Prayer."
