Three programs of light entertainment will be presented next week in the CBC Summer Festival at Camp Fortune.

As a tribute to the late George Gershwin, who died July 11, 1937, a program of his works will be offered Sunday at 4:15 p.m. and Monday at 8 p.m. Some 25 tunes will be included.

The CBC Ottawa variety-concert group will be under the direction of Ron Milne and Mary Lou Collins and Ken Steele of Toronto will be guest vocalists. The program will be recorded for broadcast in the CBC Showcase radio series July 17.

Folksinger Joni Mitchell, who is currently appearing at Le Hibou coffee house, will perform with Tom Kines and his "song pedlar" group Wednesday at 8 p.m.

Mr. Kines' associates are Jean Price, Russ Thomas and Ed Honeywell.

Berthold Carriere will conduct the CBC Ottawa variety-concert group in music from the stage and the French cafe repertoire Friday and Saturday, July 7 and 8, at 8 p.m.

The program will include the premiere of Mr. Carriere's Suite Canadienne.

This evening there will be a concert by Les Poetes de la Chanson, a male choral group directed by Marcel Nolet.

These outdoor concerts are held in a natural amphitheatre near Fortune Lodge. Seating accommodation is not provided so those attending are advised to take cushions, rugs or folding chairs.

Special buses leave the Mackenzie Avenue entrance of the Chateau Laurier at 3 p.m. on Sundays and 7 p.m. on weekdays, stopping at Eddy Park in Hull.
