Susan Whitall on Joni, Farmington Hills MI, April 25

The Farmington Community Library will on April 25 host the author of a book that recounts folk singer Joni Mitchell’s time in Detroit and how it affected her music.

Author Susan Whitall, author of “Joni in Detroit: How the Cass Corridor Shaped Joni Mitchell’s Iconic Music”, will speak at 7 p.m. in the Main Library Auditorium, 32737 W. 12 Mile Road in Farmington Hills.

Whitall edited the collection of her interviews from Mitchell’s earliest day, along with anecdotal stories. Her presentation will include photographs and recordings.
