One of the many snapshots Joni uses as a thumbnail sketch for her other projects. "I took it in Saskatchewan, Canada. That's the back end of a car. I used one of those plastic underwater cameras," she says.

This photograph is one of the source materials for Joni's 1984 painting Road To Uncle Lyall's I. Named after Joni's uncle Lyall McKee, who lived on a farm outside of Creelman, Saskatchewan.
