From her first recordings, in 1963, when she was 20, in a radio station in Canada, her native country, where she interprets traditional tunes, to two sets at Canterbury House club, in Ann Arbor (Michigan), October 27, 1967, during which she presents her compositions, including Urge For Going, Night In The City and Marcie, Joni Mitchell makes us discover her beginnings, before she became one of the folk music influential personalities - she will then go through jazz, pop. The voice is already asserted, melodious bends accompanied by her refined, sophisticated guitar playing. The sound quality of documents enhances her musician clearness.
