James Taylor, who plays the CNE later this summer, is rumored to be distancing himself from wife Carly Simon. Taylor frequented a number of New York nightclubs in the past few weeks, in some cases jamming with area musicians. He, along with Joni Mitchell, Robert Gordon, Max Romeo and members of the Rolling Stones, were all in attendance for beat poet Jim Carroll's debut at Tracks in the city last week. Now mixing words with music, the Jim Carroll Band has been signed to Rolling Stone Records and has his LP ready to go.
