tries to stay musically as true as possible to the original, whilst delivering a compact format to play and improvise from.

The transcribed Melody is based on the first Verse. It compromises the rhythmic placement of all lyrics by approx. 20%, to accommodate all three verses on one sheet.
The middle voice, as played in the original, can be helpful for chord orientation.
The chords are chosen to compliment the original guitar voicings and to take advantage of expanded instrumental settings.
Originally, the Song was written in D and played with a capo on F#/Gb. For easier playability a Version in F and G are present, next to the recorded key in F#/Gb, notated in F#.
