'Both Sides Now' tribute, Gainesville FL, July 20

The upcoming Jewel Box Concert at the Thomas Center in Gainesville, Florida, Thursday July 20, "Both Sides Now" is a tribute to the music of Joni Mitchell.

The ambitious undertaking of this multi-generational group of iconic Gainesville musicians features songs from Mitchell's first decade of recordings, including Song to a Seagull, Clouds, Ladies of the Canyon, Blue, For the Roses, Court and Spark, and Hejira. Of course, it takes four "Joni's" to do this, and they are: Cathy DeWitt, Samara C, and Janet and Maggie Rucker. The band includes David Beede, dulcimer, Richard Bassil, bass; Brad Bangstad, keyboard; Michael Derry, guitar; and Rob Rothschild, drums. Dewitt and Rucker also perform double duty on acoustic piano and guitar.

Doors open at 6:00 pm, show at 7:00. Admission $20 at the door. More info here.
