Several iconic Gainesville musicians will reprise the "Both Sides Now" concert, featuring songs from Joni Mitchell's first decade of recordings, Friday October 5th at 8 pm on the Bo Diddley Plaza--playing for free! If you missed the first two sold-out shows, now's your chance to see it. The Free Fridays "Both Sides Now" concert includes songs from the albums Song to a Seagull, Clouds, Ladies of the Canyon, Blue, For the Roses, Court and Spark, and Hejira. Of course, it takes four "Joni's" to do this, and they are: Cathy DeWitt, Samara C, and Janet and Maggie Rucker. The band includes David Beede, dulcimer, Ron Thomas, bass; Brad Bangstad, keyboard; Michael Derry, guitar; and Rob Rothschild, drums. Dewitt and Rucker also perform double duty on acoustic piano and guitar. More information here.
