Listen to a live stream of Joni Mitchell’s Birthday celebration interview with Kim Casey at WXTF-LP in Harrisville, Michigan, on November 7, 2018 from 3 to 4pm.

WXTF DJ, Lee Kitzman, who is also a local songwriter, musician and founding member of the Thunder Bay Folk Festival, will host the program and interview songwriter, guitarist, and Jazz vocalist, Kim Casey and discuss the early part of Joni Mitchell’s musical career and her very important impact on music history as a woman, with a special focus on Joni’s time living in Detroit, Michigan.

Songs may include: Just Like Me, Night in the City, Both Sides Now, You Turn Me On, I’m a Radio; Marci, The Circle Game, Morgan Town, Coyote, Night Ride Home, and many more!

When asked why she feels that it is so important that Joni Mitchell be well represented in Michigan for her birthday celebration, Kim Casey replied-

“I am determined to make very sure that Michigan is well represented, because this is a State not only where Joni Mitchell lived for a while (Detroit), and performed early in her career, but it was also here in Michigan that she wrote some of her most memorable songs.” "Some of Joni's most iconic songs were composed during her time in Detroit, including The Circle game, and Both Sides Now."
