"Joni Mitchell: A Tribute In Song" got the Harbourfront Hommage Festivities off to an inspired start tonight, according to correspondents Coyote Rick and Jimmy from the Joni Mitchell Discussion List. The show was packed with one great performance after another by some of Canada's finest musical talents. Check out Rick and Jimmy's report.

A good week for accolades: Better late than never, it's been said -- Joni was unable to attend the June gala for this years' inductees to Canada's Walk of Fame, so she'll be there to unveil her star in front of Toronto's Royal Alexandra Theatre this Friday at noon. Famed author Margaret Atwood, whose best known works include The Handmaid's Tale, Alias Grace and The Blind Assassin, was also unable to attend in June and will unveil her star at the ceremony as well. Let's hope they don't run overtime and make Joni late for her appointment at Harbourfront's Friday evening Hommage ceremony!
