Elly Paspala , one of Greece’s most popular singers is throwing a “Birthay Party” for her beloved singer/songwriter Joni Mitchell, introducing the Greek audience to the songs of one of Canada’s most brilliant artists. Joni Mitchell has been in the limelight for the past 45 years creating music & lyrics that have both moved and provoked as well as inspiring millions of people around the world. Joni Mitchell’s lyrics are profoundly poetic and personal while being universal , exhibiting a courageous and acute social and political spirit.

She has been a major influence for other great musicians such as Prince, Herbie Hancock, Björk, Elvis Costello, k.d. lang, Gaetano Veloso just to name a few.

Her music has always been uniquely creative and imaginative finding inspiration in styles as diverse as Jazz and Folk, rock and classical.

Elly Paspala , though born in New York, has been living and singing here in Greece for over 30 years. She has sung with Greece’s most illustrious composers including Manos Hadjidakis, Mikis Theodorakis, Stavros Xarchakos and countless others.

Joining her in this celebration with 5 of Greece’s most extraordinary musicians- David Lynch (Saxophones),Takis Farazis (piano), Giorgos Limakis(Guitars), Giotis Kiourtsoglou( bass guitar) and Μichael Κapilidis (drums).
