I remember being so excited to finally see Joni in person. We sat fairly far back in the audience--we were college students with no money--but could hear perfectly. The audience was enthusiastic, and reflected the mood of the music being performed. That is, mellow at times, sometimes up and dancing. Joni's voice was deepening then, yet she still had amazing range. The onstage band was also outstanding. That was the first concert I ever saw at the Greek--what a lovely setting it was.
