ROSA INCAICA joins global celebrations of the legendary singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell’s birthday, honoring one of the 20th century's most influential and authentic artists. A strong woman who carved out her place in a male-dominated world, Mitchell fought for visibility, independence, and women's equality, creating songs with deeply personal lyrics and rich visual imagery.
Throughout her career, Joni has crafted a unique style blending folk, jazz, pop, and rock influences with powerful, refined, and subtle poetry that tells her personal story. ROSA INCAICA unites Annelise Skovmand's hearfelt and versatile voice with Pablo González Jazey's guitar artistry. Trained in classical singing, Annelise has shown a remarkable ability to interpret various styles while respecting their authentic pronunciation, sound, and musicality. Over more than 20 years, the duo has produced acclaimed performances featuring songs by John Dowland (English Renaissance), Lennon & McCartney, Carlos Guastavino, Alberto Ginastera (Argentine folk-classical music), Atahualpa Yupanqui, Aaron Copland, Astor Piazzolla, María Elena Walsh, Fito Páez, Eduardo Falú, and more, receiving excellent reviews from the specialized press.
This time, they bring their talent to Joni Mitchell's marvelous repertoire, with original arrangements by Pablo González Jazey.
