    Joni attended the opening of an exhibit featuring her paintings
    as well as those of John Mayall, Klaus Voorman, Ron Wood
    and Commander Cody. These paintings were featured in the
    book Starart, designed and edited by Debby Chesher.

  • 1980.07.19 Vorpal Gallery Laguna Beach, CA

    Joni attended the opening of an exhibit featuring her paintings
    as well as those of John Mayall, Klaus Voormanm, Ron Wood
    and Commander Cody. These paintings were featured in the
    book Starart, designed and edited by Debby Chesher.
    The exhibit was on display from July 19-Aug. 1.

    A unique anthology of six short vignettes on the subject of love,
    all of them written, directed and produced by women.

    'The Black Cat...' was Joni's contribution to this anthology.

    Joni was interviewed by Jim Ladd for a syndicated
    radio program initially broadcast on Dec. 29.

  • 1980.12.02 Shadows And Light Santa Barbara, CA

    (Originally) A Showtime cable TV broadcast, recorded at
    the Santa Barbara County Bowl on Sept. 9, 1979.

    Shadows And Light is a strong testimonial to Joni Mitchell's
    historic 1979 concert tour featuring Pat Metheny, Lyle Mays,
    Jaco Pastorius, Michael Brecker, Don Alias and
    The Persuasions as her amazing back-up band.

    This concert catches Joni at the height of her artistic excellence.
